Sorry can't find my image of a picture perfect light brunch. My tea arrived in a little pot, teabag covered in boiling water. Beautiful colour. A very good sign. Ordered a la carte home fries, 1 scrambled egg, hollandaise, focaccia. Beautiful presentation, moist, custardy scrambled eggs, the best home fries - fresh cut - deep-fried, perfect seasoning and parmigiana. Focaccia was toasted and light and airy. Loved the hollandaise. Not my first visit, last time was a brunch with family and excellent as well, and they were great at accommodating a picky eater. Excellent customer service, friendly too.
Here’s a shorter version for your review: (5/5) Martello is a fantastic spot in Hamilton! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, and the staff are super friendly The food was delicious—creative, fresh, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying the pizza ! Great place for a night out or special occasion.
We recently hosted a retirement celebration for 40 people at Martello. A big thanks to Gaby, Aaron, Zack and team for the incredible food, specialty cocktails and service. It was truly top shelf! Their attention to detail and professionalism ensured all of our expectations were met for an amazing event. We have had nothing but rave reviews from all who attended! Whether you are looking for a place to dine or hosting an event, Martello delivers!
Wonderful food, service and vibes! I had the carbonara and lemon pie sour, I highly recommend both.
While we came here for just brunch I do have to post a review because it was so good! I didn’t expect good brunch at an Italian restaurant but it was fresh, inventive and tasty. The salami Benedict was a nice twist. The hollandaise might be the best I’ve had at a restaurant. The muffuletta was huge and delicious. The Nutella French toast was very rich and quite sweet but it’s nice to split between people. The marmalade was a good touch and the ricotta mousse was unbelievable. Our spritzes went down easy! The back patio is also secluded from the Main Street. I will have to return for dinner.
Came on a Sugo Sunday without realizing the menu was completely different - definitely more American style Italian food. Tried the Cesar salad, calamari & pepperoni pizza. All were good, nothing “wow.” The service was really good, our server was super attentive. The vibes were rustic, eclectic - really cute.
Dined on a Sunday with a friend. I had the pesto cream spaghetti, she couldn’t decide so she ordered the spaghetti and the pizza special. We shared calamari as an app and tiramisu for desert. No alcohol, I had a Brio and coffee after dinner. Total bill was about 110 before tip. Food was incredible! Highly recommend! Servers and host were friendly and knowledgeable! Will definitely go back!
Good was amazing. the waiter was great, didn't hover, but made sure we didn't want anything. And then when we ordered the canolli's (as it was our birthdays), he covered the cost, which was over the top amazing.
